Context Clues: Iranian flags, showed that there were many flags everywhere but I didn’t actually know what the words definition was, I couldn’t figure it out.

Definition:To be scattered or sprinkled over a surface

Dote

The Word: Dote

Part of Speech: Verb

The source sentence and Page #:Now, whenever we visit my relatives, all of whom dote on my husband, I realize that he didn’t marry me despite my tribe; he married me because of them. P. 103

Context Clues: I figured out that either they loved him or hated him but as I kept reading it became positive not negative so I came to the conclusion it was love.

Definition:To show excessive fondness of love

Original Sentence: My mom is dote about my little brother DJ.

Enviable

The Word: Enviable

Part of Speech: Adjective

The source sentence and Page #:Even though their condominium has only a tiny garden, they have managed to cultivate an enviable cornucopia of figs, pomegranates, sweet lemons, and herbs. P. 98

Context Clues: I knew what cultivate meant so I figured out the meaning by just looking and putting words together. Also tiny garden was an antonym to enviable in a way.

Definition: Worthy of envy; very desirable

Original Sentence:Celebrities are enviable because they are so rich.
